“सर्वदेवात्मको रुद्र: सर्वे देवा: शिवात्मका” – अर्थात् सभी देवताओं की आत्मा में रूद्र उपस्थित हैं और सभी देवता रूद्र की आत्मा हैं। वैसे तो रुद्राभिषेक किसी भी दिन किया जा सकता है परन्तु त्रियोदशी तिथि,प्रदोष काल और सोमवार को इसको करना परम कल्याण कारी है | श्रावण मास में किसी भी दिन किया गया रुद्राभिषेक अद्भुत व् शीघ्र फल प्रदान करने वाला होता है | आइये आपको बताते हैं लघु रुद्र पूजा के बारे में कि क्या होती है लघु रुद्र पूजा, यह कैसे की जाती है और इस लघु रुद्र पूजा के करने से क्या लाभ मिलता है।

रुद्राष्टाध्यायी को यजुर्वेद का अंग माना जाता है। वैसे तो भगवान शिव अर्थात रुद्र की महिमा का गान करने वाले इस ग्रंथ में दस अध्याय हैं लेकिन चूंकि इसके आठ अध्यायों में भगवान शिव की महिमा व उनकी कृपा शक्ति का वर्णन किया गया है। इसलिये इसका नाम रुद्राष्टाध्यायी ही रखा गया है। शेष दो अध्याय को शांत्यधाय और स्वस्ति प्रार्थनाध्याय के नाम से जाना जाता है। रुद्राभिषेक करते हुए इन सम्पूर्ण 10 अध्यायों का पाठ रूपक या षडंग पाठ कहा जाता है।

“Sarvadevatko Rudra: Sarve Deva: Shivatmika” – That is, Rudra is present in the soul of all the gods and all the gods are the soul of Rudra. Although Rudrabhishek can be done on any day, but doing it on Triyodashi Tithi, Pradosh Kaal and Monday is very auspicious. Rudrashtadhyayi is considered a part of Yajurveda. By the way, there are ten chapters in this book which sings the glory of Lord Shiva i.e. Rudra, but since in its eight chapters, the glory of Lord Shiva and his grace power have been described. That's why it has been named Rudrashtadhyayi. The remaining two chapters are known as Shantyadhyay and Swasti Prarthanadhyay. While doing Rudrabhishek, recitation of all these 10 chapters is called Rupaka or Shadanga recitation.
